VSPU held a forum focused on the mental health of participants of the educational process

Mental health of everyone participating in the educational process is an investment in the country's future

Under this slogan, on February 20, 2025, the academic staff of the Department of Psychology and Social Work of Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University held a forum for the heads of general secondary education institutions in Vinnytsia. It took place in partnership with the participants of the international Erasmus+ project “Redefining higher education in a digital context, while promoting a common, inclusive, and sustainable framework based on EU best practices and policy recommendations”.

During the panel discussions, which included exchanges of various views and practical experience, the forum participants outlined the current problems of preserving and restoring the mental health of all members of the educational process and maintaining resilience in the face of modern challenges and war. They developed an action program to restore the mental health of all participants in the educational process - pupils, students, teachers, parents of students, psychologists, heads of institutions, etc.

Speakers and panelists once again emphasized that the problem of preserving and restoring mental health is the subject of research by scientists around the world. Globalization, the influence of social media, and current challenges, including the war in Ukraine, only emphasize its relevance.

The Department of Psychology and Social Work at Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University is a leader in providing services to educators in Vinnytsia to support and strengthen the mental health of the educational community and society as a whole.

Together with the participants of the international RE-DIRECTION project, the department's teachers not only conduct research but also implement educational, social, and practical initiatives that promote the implementation of European experience, ideas of digital transformation, sustainable development, and inclusiveness in the development of programs to support and strengthen people's resilience in the face of modern challenges.

The forum concluded that it is through psychological support and the introduction of best European practices that Ukrainian education can shape a harmonious, strong future for Ukraine.

Taking care of mental health means creating a harmonious future!
