The Third Transnational Partner Meeting (TPM) of the Re-Direction project is currently underway in Athens, Greece, bringing together international academic partners and experts for two days of intensive collaboration, discussion, and knowledge exchange.

Hosted by Metropolitan College at its central Athens campus (Akadimias 42), the meeting takes place on May 28–29, 2026, under Project No. 101128509. The event gathers consortium partners to review progress, share results, and shape the next stages of the project.

The first day of the meeting opened with an official welcome session, followed by a comprehensive project overview and presentations of key work packages. Particular attention is given to the outcomes of WP4 – Pilot Experience and WP5 – Policy Recommendations, highlighting practical insights and strategic directions developed within the project framework.

A central feature of the first day is an interactive workshop titled “Statehood under Pressure: Teaching Democracy in Times of Conflict and Crisis,” which explores innovative approaches to civic education amid contemporary geopolitical challenges. The day concludes with a partner dinner, fostering networking and informal exchange among participants.

The second day focuses on ensuring the long-term sustainability of project results, as well as strengthening dissemination strategies. Representatives from partner institutions present plans to maximize the project’s impact across academic and policy communities. The agenda also includes site visits to Metropolitan College’s main and maritime campuses, offering participants insight into the host institution’s educational environment.

The meeting will conclude with a cultural component, including a city tour of Athens, allowing participants to experience the historical and cultural heritage of the Greek capital.

This transnational gathering marks an important milestone in the Re-Direction project, reinforcing international cooperation and contributing to the advancement of education, policy development, and democratic resilience in Europe.
