On March 28, 2025, the International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference "Topical Issues of the Economy: Global Trends and Modern Challenges" was successfully held, which brought together experts and researchers from many countries to solve urgent economic problems in the rapidly changing modern world.
The organiser, O. M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv, in cooperation with universities in Germany, Georgia, Vietnam, Turkey, Bulgaria and Ukraine, managed to create a platform for discussing economic innovations and challenges of the digital era in an accessible online format.
During the plenary session, the participants comprehensively analysed the multidimensional aspects of modern economic transformations. Representatives of partner institutions of the international project RE-DIRECTION (the consortium of which unites 16 partners from Ukraine, Georgia, Germany and Greece) focused on the need to implement the key discussion issues of the conference in the modernisation of educational programs along three fundamental vectors:
Digitalisation is the integration of advanced digital technologies and innovative methodological approaches into educational frameworks to form competencies in higher education students relevant to technological challenges in the modern economic paradigm
Sustainable development is incorporating sustainable development principles into the architecture of educational programs to adequately respond to global environmental and economic challenges in the context of a changing geoeconomic landscape.
Inclusivity ensures barrier-free access to education for heterogeneous categories of students, including representatives of geographically remote locations, to overcome spatial inequality in access to quality educational services.
The speakers emphasised that this triad of dimensions forms the methodological basis for the systemic modernisation of higher education in the context of solving urgent economic problems, particularly the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies and ensuring stable foundations for economic activity in conditions of global instability.
The RE-DIRECTION project partners presented insights into the transformative impact of their collaborative activities on the reconstruction of educational programs to optimise their compliance with labour market changes, considering the critical aspects mentioned above.
