Re-Direction Platform Workshop 1: Focus on MOOC Preparation and Management

2025-07-31 08:04
On July 30, 2025, Re-Direction project partners convened for the first dedicated workshop on the Re-Direction MOOC Platform, with a primary focus on preparing course materials for upload by the end of September. The session was introduced by Georgia Lagkadinou, a representative of Metropolitan College, who emphasized the importance of adhering to the proposed timeline and outlined the workshop objectives.

Paris Valadakis, also representing Metropolitan College, provided a comprehensive overview of the MOOC platform, showcasing its key features such as course template creation, completion tracking, and the integration of multimedia content—including videos hosted via YouTube. He explained the platform’s structure, which will accommodate three courses per language, and introduced roles like manager, teacher, and student to support clear course administration.

To ensure effective course management, participants were encouraged to complete an Excel file assigning responsibilities across partner organizations, with a proposed deadline set for the first week of August.

The session concluded with appreciation for the collaborative spirit of all participants and a reminder to prioritize both platform preparation and communication going forward.
