The international project RE-DIRECTION, launched in 2023, aims to rethink higher education in Ukraine and Georgia based on best practices and EU policy recommendations for digital transformation, sustainable development, and inclusiveness. The project brings together 13 universities from Ukraine (including Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University), Georgia, Germany, and Greece, as well as two ministries and an international consulting company.
The higher education institutions of Ukraine and Georgia conducted a detailed analysis of their educational programs in terms of their compliance with the criteria of digital transformation, sustainable development and inclusiveness, identified key challenges and formulated recommendations to bring educational programs in line with the needs of the labor market and promote a more inclusive, digital and sustainable educational environment.
Organized into 3 groups, the higher education institutions of Ukraine and Georgia identified educational programs and content modules that will be improved in accordance with the criteria of digital transformation, sustainable development and inclusiveness: Medicine, Clinical Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Management, Business Organization and Management, Strategic Management, Computer Science, Cyber Security, International Economics, English, German. Improvement of these educational programs, introduction of new innovative teaching practices, implementation of the ideas of digital transformation, sustainable development and inclusiveness in the content of educational components will contribute to improving the quality of training of future specialists in these specialties and the quality of higher education in Ukraine and Georgia.
