Steering Committee Call of the Re-Direction Project

2026-01-31 18:04
The Steering Committee of the Re-Direction project met online on 21 January 2026, from 09:00 to 10:00 CET, with the participation of Steering Committee members representing all partner institutions. The meeting focused on coordination and decision-making for the final year of the project, underlining that 2026 marks the last implementation phase of Re-Direction. Partners were reminded to carefully follow the project timeline and ensure timely completion of all remaining activities and deliverables.

Key implementation issues were discussed, including the next Transnational Project Meeting, which will take place in Athens on 28–29 May 2026, hosted by MC/UPAT, while the final TPM will be held in Ukraine. Attention was given to the completion of Work Package 4 on staff training and piloting, with deliverables due by the end of May, and to the development of Work Package 5 policy recommendations, which should consolidate outcomes and evidence from all previous work packages. The Steering Committee also acknowledged the approval of major deliverables in December 2025, including the official accreditation of the curricula and the training report for ambassadors.

Sustainability was highlighted as a central priority for the final project year. Partners were encouraged to advance long-term cooperation through the signing of bilateral Memoranda of Understanding, implementation of KA1 student exchanges between EU and non-EU higher education institutions, and the preparation of new joint project proposals under future EU calls. In parallel, partners were reminded to document and adopt inclusive strategies and measures within their institutions, ensuring that the project’s digital, inclusive, and green principles are embedded beyond the project lifetime.

Finally, the Steering Committee reviewed dissemination and evaluation activities. Progress on staff training and course piloting was discussed, including technical challenges related to platform access and student participation, as well as the importance of documenting face-to-face teaching activities and evaluation results. Partners were encouraged to actively disseminate project outputs, including the annual newsletter and course implementation results, through institutional channels and social media, in line with the agreed dissemination plan, to maximize the visibility and impact of the Re-Direction project.
