On April 17, the Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University hosted the 2nd International Forum on Inclusive Education, “(Not) All About Inclusion”, dedicated to the practical aspects of reasonable accommodation as a tool for inclusion, sustainable development, and digital transformation. Participants in the event—representatives of the education sector, government officials, international partners, and experts—discussed real-world cases of implementing inclusion and adapting the environment to the needs of every individual.
Participants in the international Erasmus+ project “Redefining higher education in a digital context, while promoting a common, inclusive, and sustainable framework based on EU best practices and policy recommendations” (RE-DIRECTION), Zoia Adamia, Galyna Gordiichuk, Olga Palamarchuk, Volodymyr Kobysia, Svitlana Kizim, and Svitlana Liulchak also joined the forum’s work, as the priority tasks of the international RE-DIRECTION project include fostering skills in digital transformation, sustainable development, and inclusivity among students in Ukraine and Georgia, taking into account leading European practices. The presentations by participants in the international RE-DIRECTION project, Zoia Adamia (Georgia) and Olga Palamarchuk (Ukraine), were very interesting, practice-oriented, and engaging.
Forum participants once again demonstrated that inclusion is a systemic characteristic of policies and environments that ensure the full participation of every person in public life on the principles of equality, non-discrimination, and respect for diversity.
