The event, held in a hybrid format, was part of the Re-Direction Project, an Erasmus+ initiative aimed at rethinking higher education in the digital context and fostering inclusive and sustainable practices based on EU best practices and policy recommendations.

The workshop brought together educators, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss pressing issues and share experiences related to digital transformation, sustainability, and inclusivity in higher education. It provided a platform for analyzing current challenges and identifying gaps in curricula and institutional policies, offering practical solutions to align Ukrainian higher education with global standards.

Key insights from the workshop evaluation revealed the following:

  • Interaction and Exchange of Ideas: Participants unanimously acknowledged the workshop as a highly effective platform for exchanging ideas and experiences. A significant percentage emphasized its role in fostering collaboration and dialogue among various stakeholders.
  • Relevance to Current Challenges: Most attendees agreed that the workshop content directly addressed critical issues faced by higher education in Ukraine, particularly in the realms of digitalization, inclusion, and sustainable development.
  • Practical Examples and Case Studies: The event featured real-world examples of successful implementations, which participants found particularly useful for understanding practical applications and solutions.
  • Future Recommendations: Stakeholders recommended extending such workshops to involve a broader audience, including students and faculty from diverse disciplines, and focusing on interdisciplinary approaches for comprehensive solutions.

The Re-Direction Project’s commitment to innovation was further reflected in the feedback, with participants calling for continued efforts to integrate environmental initiatives, digital tools, and inclusive practices into the educational framework.

The success of this workshop underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing higher education in Ukraine. It highlights the necessity of fostering inclusive, green, and digital strategies to meet the evolving demands of the global education landscape.
